Buhoma Lodge sits right on the edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest — literally the last building before the park boundary. Each of the eight cottages has a private veranda facing the trees, a deep bathtub and a fireplace for cold mountain evenings.
Because it is so close to the trailhead, guests can be at the briefing point within minutes of breakfast, which makes the 6am start considerably less painful.
